We are pleased to announce the award of a 560m3/day containerized MABR wastewater treatment project in Zambia. This strategic initiative underscores our commitment to sustainable water management and the advancement of smart-city wastewater solutions across the African continent.

The project scope encompasses the Engineering, Procurement, Start-up, and Commissioning of containerized Membrane Aerated Biofilm Reactor (MABR) technology. The MABR is a cutting-edge solution engineered to deliver advanced wastewater treatment with optimized operational efficiency and a significantly reduced environmental footprint.

The MABR is an advanced biological treatment process in which gas-permeable hollow-fiber membranes deliver oxygen directly to a biofilm cultivated on the membrane surface. This bubble-free aeration mechanism enables simultaneous nitrification and denitrification within a single reactor, achieving effective removal of organic matter, nitrogen, and phosphorus at significantly lower energy consumption than conventional activated sludge systems.

The containerized MABR configuration further enhances deployment flexibility, allowing for rapid installation, modular scalability, and suitability for both centralized and decentralized treatment applications. The Containerized solution making it particularly well-suited to the diverse infrastructure landscapes of developing urban centers across Africa.

This initiative reflects our organization’s deep expertise in urban infrastructure development and our ongoing commitment to delivering transformative solutions across Africa. The facility will incorporate integrated remote monitoring systems, enable real-time oversight of all treatment cycles and ensure the highest standards of operational reliability and performance.
